Where careers
are built to last
CJK is growing across sectors, capabilities and international projects, and we’re looking for good people who want to grow with us.
From apprentices and graduates to engineers, project teams and support staff, people at CJK work on complex projects in fast-moving, technically demanding environments where they are trusted to contribute, supported to develop and given opportunities to progress.
We believe in a fair exchange. When people work hard, show commitment and take pride in what they do, that should be recognised and rewarded. That approach shapes how we work, how we support our teams and how careers are built across the business.
What it’s actually like
Working at CJK means being part of teams that look out for each other, back each other and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.
People are given responsibility early, supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to keep developing. Leaders are approachable, good work gets recognised and there’s a strong sense that everyone is pulling in the same direction.
As the business has grown, maintaining that culture has mattered. Alongside the day-to-day work on site and in the office, there are regular social events, team activities and opportunities for people across the business to connect outside of projects and roles.
At CJK, people are expected to contribute and they’re supported when they do.
Experienced Professionals
CJK offers experienced professionals the opportunity to work across major projects, multiple sectors and technically demanding environments within a growing business that values initiative, teamwork and leadership.
People are trusted to contribute, supported to develop and given opportunities to help shape projects, teams and the future direction of the business.
Early Careers at CJK
Whether you’re starting an apprenticeship, studying engineering or looking for industry experience during college, CJK offers pathways designed to help people build long-term careers in construction. From hands-on site experience to structured development and mentoring, each pathway is designed to give people real exposure to how projects are delivered across live, technically demanding environments.
Many of the leaders across CJK started out through apprenticeships and early-career pathways themselves and continue to support the next generation coming through the business today.
Apprenticeships
Engineering Graduate Programme
A rotational programme designed for mechanical and electrical engineering graduates who want broad experience across project delivery, operations and construction environments.
Internships
Gain practical experience within live projects and operational teams while building real insight into the construction industry.
A career, not a role
Careers at CJK are built over time through experience, support and opportunities to progress. There’s no single route through CJK. People progress in different ways across technical, operational, commercial and leadership roles as their careers develop.

“ Since joining CJK as an apprentice in 2020, I’ve grown both personally and professionally. After completing a four-year bachelor’s degree in business & computing, changing careers was a big decision, but it proved to be the right one. I’ve found an industry that suits my strengths and allows me to keep developing every day. Nearly two years on as a qualified electrician, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across different sectors, building my skills, confidence, and experience. The support I’ve received from my on-site management team has been invaluable, and learning from their experience has played a huge role in my progression. What I appreciate most about CJK is the investment in both your professional and personal development, creating an environment where you’re encouraged to reach your potential. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited to continue building my career with CJK. ”
